Consulting project engineer for a variety of oil and gas well drilling, completion, workover and abandonment programs in California, including serving as drilling/operations manager for a large independent oil/gas operator.  Responsible for well planning, cost estimates, daily operations management, post-job analysis and reporting.

OCCIDENTAL OIL & GAS COMPANY 1998 ‑ 2003

Senior Drilling Engineer - Elk Hills, CA

Designed and implemented a variety of drilling programs with heavy emphasis on horizontal drilling and slotted liner completions ranging from 3000' to 20000' TVD.  Received Oxy’s Engineering Excellence Recognition for successful design, drilling, and completion of HTHP well to ±20,000’.

HALLIBURTON 1997 ‑ 1998

Managed and coordinated drilling services alliance with Chevron. Designed and implemented a variety of drilling programs with emphasis on heavy oil and horizontal drilling.

Managed and coordinated drilling services alliance with Bechtel Petroleum Operations. Designed and implemented a variety of drilling programs with emphasis on horizontal drilling and completion.

Drilling Engineer - Elk Hills, CA (1991-1995)

Prepared 3000'-10,000' drilling and completion cost estimates, rig procedures, AFE’s and documentation for regulatory agencies. 

Lead Production Engineer - Elk Hills, CA (1990-1991)

Supervised Operations Engineering staff monitoring a 180-well reservoir under peripheral water flood producing 20,000 BOPD.  Prepared and implemented a variety of remedial programs for 6000'-10,000' wells.
